Michel Gondry of
Be Kind Rewind and
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind fame is now the director for this comic book adapation of the
The Green Hornet . Seth Rogen stars as Britt Reid, a newspaper publisher by day and masked crime fighter and master detective by night.
He is aided in his
crimefighting duties by his more than able
sidekick, Kato (Jay Chou replaces Stephen Chow) Kato was made immortal
by the peerless Bruce Lee in the television series.
Bruce Lee as Kato
The Green Hornet has spanned
many media having been portrayed on radio shows, film serials, television shows and comic books from the
1930's right through until the early 1990's.
We'll see how this does with Gondry in the chair. Though I think that I am edging slightly closer to agreeing with HornetSting and Herve this time around. (See previous article and comments)
