This is a Dark Knights Metal tie-in where Flash and the Justice League must find Batman and escape evil Dark Metal versions of the Dark Knight. Will they survive the traps that awaits them?

Having skipped Dark Knights Metal, I did not care for this story which interrupted the current Flash narrative. I dislike when such tie-ins disturb the course of a series even when writers try to make them as relevant to the ongoing stories in the series. Here Joshua Williamson refers to Iris West’s recent history and killing of the Reverse Flash. But that wasn’t enough to make the story relevant to me.

Howard Porter continues to draw twisted versions of the Flash and any character he draws making them less heroic and uglier with stretched expressions and twisted bodies that pervert the elegance of the simple body of athletic figures like super heroes. There is a lot of dynamism in his work, but it does not always look aesthetic.
