There's a new Batman in town and he probably isn't who you might have expected! Ben Affleck (formerly Daredevil) has been signed to don the cape and cowl and portray the latest in a long line of Bruce Wayne's. Not everyone is happy with the decision, one look at twitter will tell you that. I was on the underground this morning and overheard a couple talking about the news. The male half of the couple said that they should have gotten Viggo Mortenson, while the female half of the partnership was championing John Hamm. To be honest, I can see the merit in either of them playing the Caped Crusader! So with that in mind I can imagine that there is a lot of divided opinion out there as everyone will have their own idea of who would be perfect for the role of Batman in the Man Of Steel sequel. My own reaction has mellowed since first hearing the news (I was aghast initially). I'm now thinking this could be a very interesting twist. Affleck has matured as an actor (and director) in the past few years and that should see him deliver something new to the role. And I'm sure there will be more developments to come. After all, we might also get a new Lex Luthor to talk about!
