Megatron is mad at Starscream and his advance team of scouts. After nearly destroying Sky Warp and Blitzwing last issue, he wants to teach a lesson to the other Decepticons. On the look out for any Decepticon activity and trying to contain them, Prowl and his team observe from afar but soon realize that with Megatron in town, their resources are outnumbered. Who in the universe can withstand the might of Megatron?

Furman, long a Transformers’ scribe, puts a new spin on their old continuity and provides new reason for why they came on Earth. It helps to foster better team dynamic and provide better characterization to the characters. This is a difficult task for any writer, even when so closely associated with the Transformers’ franchise. Fans know these characters inside out and can point any fault. Luckily, Furman is more than a match for the most ardent Transformer’s disagreeing collector and gives a Marvellous, if not padded tale.

Su’s work looks like Americanized Manga illustration. It looks weird on the characters, but perfectly suitable for the Transformers. He captures the classic cartoon look they had while adding some modernized armours to the characters. He doesn’t add much details to the Cybertronian forms of the Transformers’ though. More details to the features of say, Starscream’s Cybertronian jet mode.

7/10
