Rated “T+” for “Teen Plus”

He is a high school senior, and Nariyuki Yuiga comes from an impoverished family.  He is eager to secure a full scholarship, known as “the Special VIP Recommendation,” to college before he graduates.  His principal agrees to give him the scholarship, but there is one stipulation.  Yuiga must tutor the three smartest girls in school:  Rizu Ogata, Fumino Furuhashi, and, Uruka Takemoto, so that they can get into their target colleges.  However, each girl wants to focus on a subject area in which she is practically an utter failure!

As We Never Learn, Vol. 6 (Blooming in the Hot Spring Water Are Traces of a Genius's [ X ]; Chapter 43 to 51) opens, Yuiga and Takemoto play a game that causes more discomfort – in an already awkward relationship.  Meanwhile, everyone thinks the two are closer to becoming a couple than ever.  Then, Ogata's perfectly round and large boobs cause more confusion.  From there, it's on to missing swimsuits, wet (see-through) shirts, lost bikini tops, and an overprotective sister.  With so many wardrobe malfunctions, can Yuiga and company really enjoy a day at the beach?

THE LOWDOWN:  The We Never Learn manga is about both teen romance and teen lust.  It is a high school romantic comedy like the current ongoing series, Kaguya-sama: Love is War.  Both are “Shonen Jump” manga that feature boys and girls caught in uncomfortable positions.

We Never Learn Graphic Novel Volume 6 is a collection of episodic situation comedy, like the prior volumes in the series.  However, Vol. 6 is thoroughly a sexy romp.  I did not know that swimsuits could be so problematic and that those problems could make for so much fun reading.  I felt like a horn-dog; I wanted more bouncy, intrusive, accidental boob action.  I wanted more swimwear confusion.  Luckily, Camellia Nieh's expert translation keeps everything from turning completely nasty, but keeps the romances in bloom.

POSSIBLE AUDIENCE:  Fans of shonen high school comedies will want to learn about the Shonen Jump title, We Never Learn.
