Double-crosses and triple-crosses are in store as the the six renegade supervillains continue their war with Luthor's secret society even while they discover a traitor in their ranks. Simone fills this issue with dramatic revelations, great character bits, red herrings and casual violence that really push the story along. There are still many questions in this miniseries that need to be answered but at least the mysteries are still intriguing and have not yet become irritating or over-extended. The art by Eaglesham is inconsistent however. Some scenes look great, like the splash of Cat-Man battling Mallah. But in other pages, the lines get too heavy and figures look too posed and static. Hopefully, the last issue will wrap everything up neatly and will not end with some cop-out or cheap trick.
