The President's advisors believe he's being secretly controlled by Professor Xavier and a plan is hatched to free the Chief Executive from his mutant influence. But who is behind the scheme and what will it mean for the X-Men?
I know a lot of cats are irritated that we have only been getting a single New Mutant an issue and feel that the pacing has been flat. Well, hopefully they will now be happy. We are introduced to many New Mutants and certain familiarities are turned on there heads. And the undercurrent that has been present, has come to the forefront, or has it? The story has moved (for me) in a logical manor and it is interesting to see how Bendis is unfolding the whole picture.
Finch's art is always nice: his shot of the mansion at the beginning and then the last couple of pages were really catching. One thing that gets me when I look at Emma Frost is a similarity with Nicole Kidman. But then again, she has a little Jean in her as well. Which is a shame, as it would be nice for all of the woman to be individual in their looks. The cover is a good depiction of Scott in itself, but really has nothing to do with the story.
