Peterhas a free house, so you’d think he’d be happy, but nothing seems to be going right for him at the moment, especially with the big Spider-Manblockbuster that’s in production. So when Doc Ockshows up and he has to defend it, it puts the big exclamation mark on ironic.

There are two stories going through this issue. The first is around Gwenand she’s getting might suspicious about what’s going. Hey, she says it herself “I used to be the daughter of a cop. I know a stakeout when I see one.” On the set of the potential Spider-man movie, the real Spideybattles Doc Ockand through all his bravado not all is going Spidey’sway, especially from what we see at the end. And will Mary Jane’slife have anymore turns and twists?

There is a lot of action this issue and Bagleyknows just how to portray it. Doc Ock’stentacles have a real kinetic feel to them. From Spideygetting smashed into pavements and cars, everything just had a furious feel to it. What was a real standout though was the conversation between Mary Janeand Gwen, which Bagleyreally brought to life with the subtle body language and facial expressions.
