Adapting the fourth novel in R.A. Salvatore’s acclaimed “Legend of Drizzt” series! At long last, Drizzt Do’urden has found a home in the secluded Icewind Dale. But his hard-fought peace is threatened by the awakening of the fabled Crystal Shard—an occult device of unimaginable destructive power…

As a big fantasy fan, this comic really delivered. The Land of Icewind Dale comes to life, as well as it's many inhabitants, who have uneque personalities that shine through the incredible writing. One of our main Character's, Drizzt, a "Drow" who has rejected the dark, evil way's of his people, is easily likable because of his heroic nature - His willingness to help a society in which many have shunned him. The story in the 1st Issue span's a few years and really set's up the rest of the series, so much stuff is told within issue #1's 48 pages, that if the writing wasn't so good, you could easily have gotten  lost...thankfully, that is not the case.

The Art is great, and with it's cartoon'ish, yet serious in nature designs, fit's the world perfectly. Being an official "Wizards of the Coast" Product, any fan of D & D or Sword and Sorcery in general is going to love this series. Give it a shot.
