Nicholas Dane, a college professor is the only survivor or a plane crash in the Atlantic ocean. He discovers that he has the talents of all the people who crashed with him. He’ll need their skill if he is to escape the wrath of the scheming conspirators who want to discover his secret and eliminate him. It doesn’t help that instead of being perceived as a miraculous survivor, people think he plotted the crash.
At first, the premise of this story sounded too cheesy that I was not interested in reading the comic book. I admit that I approached it with a lack of interest. I was mistaken. This story has real suspense and is a worthy read. It’s quite gripping and the characters want to make one read more of this story. This story could be a sleeper hit in the same vein as Y the Last Man so I’d suggest that you go and read it today.
The artwork seems like a cross of James Fry and the late Alex Toth. I like it. Sure at first the previews in other Boom Studio books looked cold and not approachable. Perhaps it’s the sombre colour on the cover and inside. However, this book grows on you and I’m glad I gave it a chance. Azaceta’s work is simple yet each line is useful in the overall design. This is a great series for fans of action and suspense.
