PERFECT MAN

Perfect Man is a children's book focusing on Perfect Man's biggest fan, young Maxwell McAllum. Discontent with Perfect Man's announced retirement, McAllum searches for the famed super hero. Using his deduction, the boy's believe that he discovered the secret identity of Perfect Man. Will Perfect Man's alter ego accept the boy has his new sidekick ad come out of retirement?

Wilson uses but a few words to craft a tale that's very accessible. Setting his story on a standard super hero premise, he succeeds in showing kids and older readers how they can turn their adoration of a character into a creative project that will allow them to achieve bigger dreams in their lives.

Griffiths' characters' design borrows a little from the Iron Giant while maintaining their own fresh water paint looks. There are even some vague references to Captain Harlock! Although depicting super heroes, Griffiths shuns typcal Mr Universe in favour of lighter and friendlier characters. The book's design provides lots space fittings with the story's exploration theme.
