1. Birds of Prey #69, 18 pts

"I could easily sing the praises of Gail Simone for coming up with one of the most original story plots involving serial killers and cults I've ever seen, but I'd rather say right now that Ron Adrian is an excellent fill-in for Ed Benes. If I were Gail Simone, I'd superglue this guy's ass to his chair whenever Ed felt like a breather. But then, you'd have to feed him, and give him water, and it just turns into a big hassle, and... uh, never mind. Just keep it comin' Simone & Co., and I'll keep buyin'!" creepingterror, DC Message Boards
2. Y, the Last Man #24, 14 pts
"Looking at both his confession and the new... uh, predicament he's having with "New Beth" Yorick Brown is never gonna have it easy. But I guess being the last wang on Earth on a planet full of women isn't exactly gonna be all peaches n' cream. So screw you, Gene Simmons!" creepingterror, DC Message Boards
3. Detective Comics #796, 12 pts
"Gabrych and Woods get the new' Dynamic Duo' in trouble and action aplenty. Mr. Zsasz is the foe and wicked as ever. Gabrych writes Batman so well, becoming the best of the core Bat titles. Pete Woods, once again draws some of the best looking Gothamites. Strong, very strong." DupibR, DC Message Boards
(tied for 4th) Powers #1, 9 pts
"New company, same ol' potty-mouthed goodness." darklaw14, DC Message Boards
(tied for 4th) DC Comics Presents: Batman #1, 9 pts

"Really fun issue. But someone mentioned somewhere and I'll echo the statement. I really wish they had reprinted the original story along with these two new stories. And Infantino. Now his artwork isn't perfect, but this is 100 times better then what he was doing on the Flash at the end of volume one. I figured he had lost all artistic ability, guess I was wrong. All the same a good issue, depsite the fact I don't even like Batman." Jack the Knife, DC Message Boards
(tied for 6th) Uncanny X-Men #446, 7 pts
"Claremont and Davis get nostalgic as the X-Men battle one of Cap Britain's old foes. Lovely art, as usual." darklaw14, DC Message Boards
(tied for 6th) Firestorm #3, 7 pts
"I really enjoyed the first two issues of this new series, but number three fell a little flat. While I commend Dan Jolley for not wrapping up last month's cliffhanger too neatly and for not giving Jason's problems with his father a sitcom-simple ending, a comic advertised as the end of the first story arc should actually conclude some of the story. Still, the artwork is great and I like the main character, so I'm not going anywhere. Here's hoping Jolley can get back some of the excitement of the first two issues with the next storyline." Mister Miracle, DC Message Boards
(tied for 6th) Swamp Thing #5, 7 pts
"The story is finally starting to come together as tensions mount. This was a great issue making me crave for more at the end." Revolver86, DC Message Boards
(tied for 9th) The Monolith #6, 4 pts

"DC's newest hero gets a visit from Batman, courtesy of Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti, with guest pencils from Tomm Coker. Coker's pencils suit this dark story well, but was a bit disappointed that regular penciller Phil Winslade didn't get to draw the Dark Knight. Still, a solid story was told and the action works. Two urban legends from 2 cities hit center stage in 1 comic. Try this comic out; its hip and fun." DubipR, DC Message Boards
(tied for 9th) Ultimate Spider-Man #62, 4 pts
" While this was a good issue, the shocking end is what really got me. WOW!" Revolver86, DC Message Boards
