This issue was far better than I expected from the cover. The interactions between Wally and Wonder Woman were definitely the highlight of the story. Zoom was also very interesting. Some parts could have been better, but overall it was a very good read.
2. Seven Soldiers of Victory #0, 16 ptsGood comic, one of Morrison's best recent efforts. I suspected pretty quickly what would happen this issue, and the ending was literally "deus ex machina," with all the bad consequences of such tactics. Otherwise I would have liked it much better. Some of the characters had "throwaway" written all over them. Still a good display of what Morrison can do.
3. Legion of Super-Heroes #3, 15 pts
"Best Best Best. Triplicate Girl's mysterious origin. TG dating three heroes at Cosmic Boy's behest. Brainy joking about being a Zookeeper. I have been a fan for more than 30 yrs. DC give us Legion Flight Rings. DC give us animated Legion. NOT like Teen Titans mess(lousy art and no WONDER GIRL? DC give us Legion like JL Unlimited. You have proved you can do it, please please please give us animated Legion." brynlondo, DC Message Boards
4. Wonder Woman #213, 10 pts
"This is the best issue of Wonder Woman yet. Athena has made her move against Zeus and Diana (Wonder Woman) has been called to act as Athena's champion. The maneuvers and intrigue in Olympus have been some of my favorite stuff in Rucka's Wonder Woman run and this issue had plenty of it. My favorite part is the design for the titan (Zeus's champion). The artist actually designed a giant with a hundred arms and hundred heads and managed to make it look cool." nuadha, DC Message Boards
(tied for 5th) Batman #637, 9 pts
"This has quickly turned into one of the titles I most look forward to each month. Mahnke's art is TREMENDOUS, and the story's just down right fun. Who knew the Black Mask could actually be an enjoyable villian to read?" ishmael1st, DC Message Boards
(tied for 5th) Grimjack: Killer Instinct #2 , 9 pts
"Another beautifully drawn, quality produced issue. Dispite the $3.99 price tag. It's great to see one of the "First" company characters come back into print. Let's hope for Jon Sable, Badger, Dreadstar, Nexus and even Dynamo Joe." spacecadet55, DC Message Boards
7. Nightwing #104, 6 pts
"Dixon and Beatty's Year One arc has gotten better with each issue. This was another solid issue that knits together threads of continuity that were scattered across several years and several titles. While it's nice to see Nightwing's early career collected in a single narrative, I still can't shake the feeling that this storyline isn't offering anything new to the Nightwing canon. But it was the first title I chose to read when I got home from the store this week, so I can at least appreciate the merit of this arc as familiar comfort food. Plus it's always fun to see Babs back in action as Batgirl." rathbone, DC Message Boards
(tied for 8th) B.P.R.D.: The Dead #4, 5 pts
"I'm REALLY enjoying these B.P.R.D. minis. Mignola, Arcudi and Davis are doing a wonderful job, and I look forward to each new issue more than the last." positiveman, DC Message Boards
(tied for 8th) Y The Last Man #31, 5 pts "Some have called this book the greatest sci-fi/thrillers in comics. Well, with the conclusion of this arc, they can add 'action' and 'horror' to the sci-fi/thriller title, too. Just see both Toyota vs. 355 and the seeming terror in Dr. Mann's reaction on the last two pages for proof. And with Ampersand's abscence (sniff) and the leaving behind of the U.S., all these aforementioned elements will no doubt be turned up to 12! (come on, 11's just too dull for THIS series)" creepingterror, DC Message Boards
(tied for 10th) Outsiders 21, 4 pts
"The only thing keeping this issue out of the top spot was the artwork. Sometimes it worked (all the stuff between Batman and Nightwing) but most times it didn't. In a world without cover previews and internet rumours that last page would have been an amazing cliffhanger. But even suspecting where it was going, it was still a strong finish." mistermiracle, DC Message Boards
