These rankings are compiled from the top 3 vote-getters of 30 different voters on the Internet for comics released on November 17, 2004.

1. Superman/Batman #14, 36 pts
An interesting alternate past storyline with some surprise Legion villains. Bonus points for the appearance of Uncle Sam at the end!

2. Teen Titans #18, 25 pts
A good issue, but a middle issue in a good plot. I read something about a Crisis, and that earned some bonus points. Next issue could be great!

3. Wonder Woman #210, 12 pts
"Wonder Woman vs. Medusa. It was basically an issue long fight and I usually hate those. However this fight was so well written that each panel flowed into the next. I felt like I was watching it in a movie or TV show and it was choreographed by some of the best in the business. My only real complaint was that after WW takes a rather drastic action (which I will not spoil here) to turn the fight in her favor, the fight was over in a few seconds. I would have liked to have seen this action a few pages earlier." nuadha, DC Message Boards

4. Birds of Prey #76, 10 pts
The villain was interesting, but there wasn't enough detail to keep me intrigued. Even though this was essentially a stand-alone issue, the subplots gave it the feel of a mid-arc story.

5. Catwoman #37, 9 pts
"Ed Brubaker ends his run with a character study of Selina pondering her place in Gotham after "War Games" and her place among her friends. Beautiful art from Gulacy except on a few panels. I'll miss Ed, but I'll stick around to see what Scott Morse and Will Pfeiffer have planned." darklaw14, DC Message Boards

6. Human Target #16, 8 pts
"Peter Milligan continues to shine and shows why he's the one of the best writers that mainstream comic readers aren't reading. The conclusion of the Christopher Chance as Messiah story comes to a shattering finale. The line between living one's life and pretending one's life gets more blurry. Cliff Chaing (who should be Michael Lark's successor on Gotham Central) delivers crisp and detailed lines. One person that gets overlooked during this entire run is colorist Lee Loughridge, gets major credit to Vertigo's best book." DubipR, DC Message Boards

(tied for 7th) Captain America #1, 7 pts
"A really nice start to what will hopefully be a looong run. Brubaker is the only reason I decided to check this out, and he doesn’t fail to deliver. A nice twist of an ending, great dialogue, and some of the best art of the week by Epting, make this a top three book. I would’ve ranked it higher, but Cable & Deadpool was so enjoyable I decided to knock it down a notch. I’ll just say I’m happy to be a Cap fan at the moment." ishmael1st, DC Message Boards

(tied for 7th) Ex Machina #6, 7 pts
"Vaughan and Harris deliver another solid issue. The sci-fi elements worry me a bit, but the creators are handling them well enough. This title continues to deliver fine action and political intrigue, as well as the amazing art of Tony Harris." eliotjohnson, DC Message Boards

(tied for 9th) She-Hulk #9, 6 pts
Great humor this time, with a good appearance from Hercules. Not an earth-shattering plot this month, but just pure fun.

(tied for 9th) Manhunter #4, 6 pts
The best issue of the series by far, adding a good new supporting character and further developing Kate. Even though I wouldn't want to talk with Kate every day, it is fun to read about her.

11. Hawkman #34, HERO #22, Madrox #3, 5 pts

14. JSA: Strange Adventures #4, Fantastic Four #520, JLA #108, 4 pts

17. Cable & Deadpool #9, Battle Angel Alita: Last Order vol. 4: Angel of Protest, One Step After Another, 3 pts

20. Robin #132, Conan #10, 2 pts

22. Lucifer #56, Adventures of Superman #634, Tales of Tellos #2, Ultimate Spider-Man #69, Betty & Veronica #204, 1 pt
