New Prince of Persia Now Available

Ubisoft announced the release of its latest additions to the Prince of Persia franchise today. While the two games released for their respective systems at some retailers this Tuesday, their official North American launch was today. For Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and PC, a completely re-envisioned version of the Prince of Persia franchise is now available. The new prince has a number of combat and acrobatic moves that the prince from the Sands of Time trilogy had, as well as a number of new moves, like crawling on the ceiling.

The game also includes a number of unlockables that can be found throughout the gamplay, but there is also a special unlockable skin for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 users with a Ubisoft.com account. Link your Ubisoft.com account with your Xbox Live or Playstation Network account and you'll be able to play as Altair, from Assassin's Creed . If you don't already have a Ubisoft account, you can make one at www.princeofpersia.com.

The new prince also has a partner this time round. Elika has magical powers that can help the new prince fight The Corruption, guide him through new routes in the kingdom and save his life. There are other skins available for Elika as well, including one which will make her look like Jade, from Beyond Good and Evil . You can find out more about the new Prince of Persia here . Prince of Persia is available for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 for $59.99 USD/CAD and is rated T for Teen. The PC version will be available on December 11 th for $49.99 USD/CAD.

The franchise also steps back into the handheld arena with Prince of Persia: The Fallen King. Available for Nintendo DS, The Fallen King features a similar storyline to the high definition version and is available across North America for $29.99 USD/CAD and is rated E for Everyone.
