Long-time readers of Archie Comics know, when it comes to planning trips, there’s no one better at it than Betty & Veronica.  These girls have gone everywhere, meeting interesting people and having exciting adventures along the way.  This February is no exception, as Betty & Veronica prove that whether you’re in your own backyard or away in an exotic land, it’s what you make of your location that counts!

In BETTY & VERONICA SPECTACULAR #77, the delightful duo explores the wilderness in a pair of stories built around each girl’s unique personality.  In “The Great Outdoors Betty Style,” camping in the wilderness has its disadvantages for Veronica – namely, no malls, no electricity and no plumbing.  But before she can bail, Veronica spots hunky Donald on the trail… and suddenly, the lack of luxuries becomes irrelevant!  Then, in a flip of the previous story, Veronica hosts a camping trip – and no convenience is left behind!  But even high energy power lines aren’t infallible, so Betty may get her wish of “roughing it” yet!  Did we mention the reversal story is called “The Great Outdoors Veronica Style?”

Over in VERONICA #178, everyone’s favorite rich girl is in more familiar territory – globe-trotting her way to adventure!  When Ginger Lopez is assigned an article on the “best place in the world” for Glitz Magazine, she immediately turns to famous world-traveler Veronica for help!  You know what that means – Ginger and Veronica are about to travel the world in 30 days!  Their whirlwind tour covers all the most exciting and exotic spots, but will they be able to narrow it down to one in time to meet Ginger’s deadline… and will their final selection surprise even themselves?!  Find out in the scenic tale, “It’s a Small World.”
