It's also an old-fashioned comic book. Buy almost any issue, and you get a single, complete, stand-alone story that makes you feel as if you've spent your money wisely. When you're through, you want to come back for more.

With Ellis, the writing isn't just about the ideas; it's also about execution. It's in the way Ellis turns a phrase or the timing of dialogue.

Cassaday is the perfect artist. His comic art is exceptional at it's best, and still quite good even when he's a bit off. But what makes him so perfect is that he can draw so many pretty pictures and still not steal the limelight from a good tale. Still, writers who can't bring an "A game" to their stories should avoid stepping on the court with him.
