Power of the valkyrie takes flight in at  arcana

This  September, THE POWER OF THE VALKYRIE will  begin a four-issue miniseries, from the creators of “10^th Muse” and  “The Legend of Isis”; writers Darren G. Davis and Chad Rebmann, and art by  Marvel’s “Runaways” inker, Craig Yeung.

“This book has a deeper edge than  the other books we create. It was the perfect vehicle for Arcana to publish,”  said writer, Davis. “I have created a bunch of characters from world legends and mythology, and I really wanted to do something with the Norse myths this time”.

Here’s how the studio  describes the issue:

THE POWER OF THE  VALKYRIE #1

Written by Darren G.  Davis & __Chad__ Rebmann, pencils by  Craig Yeung, and special incentive cover by artist, Nadir  Balan_

As an Elysian war  rages onward and spills upon the Earth, an ethereal gift, bequeathed to a mortal  none the less, is all that stands between the dark minions of Hell and their  malignant conquest of the Heavens. Suzanne Bancroft is a single nurse at a small  Colorado hospital, her life is  tight knit, friends are few and her craving for adventure is all but nonexistent. However she will soon hold the key to both heaven and hell in the  palm of her trembling unsure hands...yet will she accept  it.
22-pages,  full-color, four-part limited bi-monthly series --  $2.95_

SPECIAL RETAILER  INCENTIVE OFFER: Order 15 or more copies of THE POWER   OF THE VALKYRIE #1, and  receive the rare special variant cover by   “Judo Girl” artist, Nadir Balan!  While supplies  last!

“Valkyrie has been a  project I've been looking forward to for a long time,” said Arcana Managing  Editor Sean O’Reilly. “Blue Water has always put out great looking, and great  selling, books and it's great to be working with Darren.  He really understands the comic  industry."

THE POWER OF THE  VALKYRIE #1 is 22-pages of full-color excitement for only $2.95, and is  available now through Diamond Comics’ Previews catalog at your local comic book  shop, for release in September.
