4Kids Entertainment to Unleash Next Trading Card Revolution with Launch of the World's First Multimedia Trading Card Property; Chaotic

The world's getting Chaotic! 4Kids Entertainment, Inc., the children's entertainment powerhouse that turned the trading card-based properties Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! into worldwide sensations, is unveiling its most innovative and groundbreaking property to date with the much-anticipated launch of CHAOTIC(TM). Developed in conjunction with APEX Marketing, Inc. and Dracco Company Ltd., Chaotic is expected to revolutionize the multi-billion dollar trading card industry by bringing the category into the digital age with a game that can be played both traditionally and online.

Chaotic, with its fantastical world of creatures and characters, will also debut as a TV series this Fall on 4Kids TV (Fox affiliates nationwide on Saturday mornings) and as a full-blown licensing and merchandising program in 2007. The animated series will be produced by 4Kids and APEX Marketing.

The property will make its debut at this year's Licensing Show June 20-22 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City. 4Kids can be found at Booth 3400 at the show.

As the first property specifically designed to connect collectible trading card gaming with the many platforms of interactive technology, Chaotic's revolutionary feature is its patented alphanumeric code technology. Each Chaotic trading card will be imprinted with a unique alphanumeric code that not only ensures that no two cards are alike, but also, enables kids to upload and access their personal collection of Chaotic cards stored on the free Chaotic website (www.chaoticgame.com). Once logged on to the Chaotic website, kids will be able to play Chaotic at any time against other players from around the world. The online game play brings the physical trading cards to life as the creatures on the cards battle in cyberspace. The website can also record winners and create world rankings of players. The Chaotic website can be accessed by computer and any other device that can access the internet such as cell phones, PDA's and gaming platforms. The Chaotic card game can also be played in the traditional manner with physical cards.

4Kids Entertainment will also develop a broad licensing and marketing program for the property in all core categories, initially focusing on toys, interactive entertainment and collectibles. The Chaotic licensed products may also carry a one-of-a-kind "code" that once uploaded can enhance the online game play experience.

"Chaotic is truly a unique and revolutionary property that we are proud to add to our portfolio," said Alfred R. Kahn, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of 4Kids Entertainment. "Technology has become such an integral part of life for today's kids. It is only natural to usher trading card games into the 21st Century by enabling collectors to share their Chaotic cards online or through wireless communication. Add in its hundreds of unique of characters and engaging storylines, and Chaotic has all the elements to become a worldwide television and merchandising hit."

Both the Chaotic card game and the animated TV series revolve around capturing the codes of new creatures. In the series, two teenage boys discover a secret portal to the world of Perim while playing the Chaotic Trading Card Game(TM). Soon after entering the magical world of Perim, the boys quickly realize that the unique codes on their trading cards are actually scans of living creatures with unique powers; the boys then use these fierce and fascinating beings to help further their mission to capture the codes and battle armor of new creatures. And since Chaotic is all about connecting one platform to another, back here on Earth, real life Chaotic TV fans will be able to watch the series and discover battle strategies that will ultimately help them master the trading card game for both on-line and off-line game play.
