Ahoy, mates! Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Crew are hitting the high seas when Warner Home Video (WHV) releases the original animated movie "Scooby-Doo in Pirates Ahoy!" on DVD September 19, 2006. The DVD will retail at $19.98 SRP.

Families can join in on the growing pirate craze sweeping the country with this all-new, animated original movie where Scooby-Doo and the gang take a creepy cruise into the legendary Bermuda Triangle. From alien sightings to terrifying Skeleton Ghost Pirates, spooks and scares lurk around every corner creating high seas hilarity and swashbuckling excitement! If Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Daphne, Fred and Velma can't solve this maritime mystery, they may walk the plank and become the Triangle's next victims!

"Scooby-Doo continues to be a very successful franchise, people of all ages still love to watch Scooby-Doo and the gang solve the mystery of the day," commented Dorinda Marticorena, WHV Vice President, Kids and Sports Marketing. She added, "We think both children and parents will enjoy this full-length original movie. It offers a very funny and entertaining story line while mixing in just enough spooks and scares to keep kids on the edge of their seats as they watch the loveable crew save the day once again. What kid doesn't love a great pirate story? We are delighted to bring this entertaining story to consumers everywhere."

The two previous animated movies "Aloha Scooby-Doo!" (released in February 2005) and "Scooby-Doo in Where's My Mummy?" (released in December 2005) were two of the top twenty kids made-for-videos in 2005.
