Dabel Brothers Production announced today that it will be offering a special preview of its upcoming adaptation of Laurell K. Hamilton's ANITA BLAKE: VAMPIRE HUNTER in GUILTY PLEASURES in the first issue of MARSHAL, which hits shelves on Wednesday, April 26th.

"We've been flooded with email from our fans about how they can't wait to see the first issue of the ANITA BLAKE comics," said Les Dabel, Vice President and New Business Director of DB Pro. "As luck would have it, just before we went to print, we received the first few pages of the book from Brett Booth, the artist on the series. They've gotten us so excited that we want to share them with our readers as soon as possible."

The preview, which covers the first chapter of GUILTY PLEASURES (where Anita Blake encounters the newly dead vampire Willie McCoy) is sure to tantalize fans of the novels who have been dying to see Anita Blake's adventures brought into the visual medium. And while those fans will certainly appreciate the preview, said Dabel, it's only a taste of things to come.

"The first issue of ANITA BLAKE should hit shelves in July, and we expect the launch to be a major event," he explained. "Laurell K. Hamilton's novels are white-hot at the moment, and she has millions of dedicated readers worldwide who love the story and want to see it brought to life visually. We're thrilled to be a part of this, and we know that anyone who checks out the preview in MARSHAL #1 will be happy with what they see."

The first issue of MARSHAL will be available in comic book stores everywhere on Wednesday, April 26th. It is published by Dabel Brothers Production and distributed by Diamond Distributors, Inc, order code FEB06 2961. Readers are encouraged to contact their local comic book shop immediately to pre-order a copy of the book.

The Dabel Brothers also said that they will also include additional sneak preview material in MARSHAL #2 and #3 as they lead up to the July release of the debut issue of the ANITA BLAKE comic.
