Attendees of the First Annual New York Comic Convention are invited to attend the Indie After Party on Saturday February 25th from 8-11 pm at The Twins Pub in New York City. The party will take place on the entire upstairs level of the bar and will feature free food, cash bar, a gallery of comic book art, and comics for sale.

In addition, there will be light entertainment throughout the evening and two special events: The Comic Art Guild 5 Year Anniversary and SSS Comics' Scavenger Hunt.

Party organizer Philip Clark is hopeful about the event. "A lot of comic pros, mainstream and independent alike, have been waiting for a show like this. What Rich and I set out to do was to have a place where fans and creators could come hang out, mingle, and show their love for independent comics."

"There are so many creators in the city, but most of us don't know one another. We're hoping this will be a way to break the ice as well as welcome creators from out of town that have come to the convention," fellow organizer Rich Bernatovech explains.

The Twins Pub is located just 3 blocks away from the convention center, midway between the 34th Street subway station and the Javitz center.
