Visiting Bongo Comics booth at the San Diego Comic-Con, The Comic Book Bin asked one of their senior company officials about the pricing of Bongo Comics, which is not comparable with the current exchange rates of the Canadian and American dollars. The two currencies have been at parity for almost a year now. Americans pay $2.99 for a monthly comic book published by Bongo Comics, while Canadians pay $3.99.

According to Bongo Comics, the price for comic books directly published through the publisher will change soon to reflect exchange rate. Books published by Harper Collins will not be affected by this policy, as Bongo Comics does control the pricing of the compilation editions published by the former.

Several comic book publishers have been slow to adjust the price of their comic books to Canadian customers, even if no proper justifications are provided for the pricing difference. It is up to consumers to send a friendly reminder to publishers who refuse to change their prices to sensitize them about the issue of Canadian comic book pricing.

No exact dates were provide by Bongo Comics about when prices would start to change.
