The mysterious homeless girl seen around Salem Centre turns out to be a powerful mutant – but convincing her to come to the Xavier Institute could be a dangerous task!
We see several resolutions by the end of this issue and all are pretty interesting. Rahne has to come to terms with the re-emergence of her inner beast. And in a sense, so do some of the other characters, like Nori. DeFilippis and Weir touch on some interesting points, but the problem is, everything seemed a little too straightforward. It’s great that the messages gauged are real, but when they are reached so simply it just seems contrived.
Barberi has a very angular style, so everything from facial features to body parts comes off pointy. There is a guest X-Man appearance, but he really doesn’t look very good at all, especially in the first few panels. Things aren’t all bad though, when Dani sits and talks with Rahne and the following panels really permeate the sentiment of the writing, which adds so much more to the scene. The cover is OK, but still a little disjointed.
