Many things are happening at the academy. Relationships are being looked at and not all will survive. And someone with an agenda is making moves, what will be the fallout though?
It’s clear to me from reading this that DeFilippis & Weir understand children and that's where the true essence of the book is. This isn't Dawson's Creek where a problem is rectified after an over dramatised conversation. This is more akin to real life. It’s Open Day at Xavier's and everyone knows that always brings some sort of drama. But what effect will it have on Sofia and the other kids in the halls? And is Xavier's as safe as we may believe or has someone got a scheme in the making!
When I first read through this issue, I have to admit I was kind of frustrated with the art. The proportions are over played, like a fairground caricature. You could say the arts more in line with something like Dragonball Z. Then I looked at it in another way. The art is fun, it really is. The big eyes, stupid grins, it all adds to the unique flava of the book. And still fits in with the storytelling.
Koncise an out :)
