Marc Silvestri returns to the X-Men for Grant Morrison's final story arc "HERE COMES TOMORROW"! In the tradition of "DAYS OF FUTURE PAST", take a look into the X-Men's future. Society has crumbled, the human race is all but decimated, and mutants have evolved far beyond their imagined potential. But throughout the years, the dream of one man long dead still remains true - that of Professor Charles Xavier … that of the X-Men!
After the let down I personally thought the last arc was, I have to admit I was interested to see how Morrison would go out. I wasn't to sure about the dialogue from our mystery human (or just in general). I got the impression he was supposed to be English, with generic speech. It was interesting to see the threads of the past (well our present), interlinked in the future. Definitely a few nice additions, which show this arc has potential.
This is the first time I've seen Silvestri's art and yes it is nice, but I didn't think it was anything mad special. The thing I thought was really nice about his work was, that you got a feel of future about it. Which the colourist did a great job of enhancing. And his sense of scale was good. I did think that sometimes his work did look rather scratch, with a lot of lines where not needed. And he wasn't great at showing movement or actual facial expressions. This really became apparent with the last couple of pages.
