High school senior, Nariyuki Yuiga, comes from an impoverished family.  He is eager to secure a full scholarship, known as “the Special VIP Recommendation,” to college before he graduates.  His principal agrees to give him the scholarship, but there is one stipulation.  Yuiga must tutor the three smartest girls in school:  Rizu Ogata, Fumino Furuhashi, and, Uruka Takemoto, so that they can get into their target colleges.  However, each girl wants to focus on a subject area in which she is practically an utter failure!

As We Never Learn, Vol. 5 (On a Clamorous Night, [ X ] Cannot Study; Chapter 35 to 42) opens, the heat between Yuiga and Takemoto is turned up!  Now, they find themselves together, but what should they talk about?  So Takemoto reaches out Furuhashi, but so does Yuiga!  Thus begins a festival of romantic mischief in the form of accidental sleepovers, demanding fathers, cooking disasters, couples' karaoke, and a teacher in a tight school girl's uniform.

THE LOWDOWN:  The We Never Learn manga is a high school romantic comedy like the current ongoing series, Kaguya-sama: Love is War.  Both are “Shonen Jump” manga that feature boys caught crushing and sometimes horn-dogging on pretty female classmates.

We Never Learn Graphic Novel Volume 5 is, like other volumes in the series, a collection of episodic situation comedy.  At this point in the narrative, creator Taishi Tsutsui is focusing on the the relationship between Nariyuki Yuiga and Uruka Takemoto.  The tan, curvy, buxom Takemoto drives Yuiga so crazy that he sweats buck shots of teen lust sweat.  That does not stop Yuiga from later imaging Rizu Ogata in some girl-on-girl shower action.

Luckily, Camellia Nieh's expert translation presents lots of engaging dialogue.  It will keep your mind on the story, dear nasty readers.

POSSIBLE AUDIENCE:  Fans of shonen high school comedies will want to learn about the Shonen Jump title, We Never Learn.
