Feds Clear Hasbro's Marvel License

Hasbro received clearance from the Federal Trade Commission to enact the new Marvel characters’ license it acquired on January 9, 2006. The new license, which will allow Hasbro to produce and market action figures, toys and games with Marvel Comics’ characters, such as Spider-man, the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. The license starts on January 1, 2007 and also covers the separate Spider-man Merchandising, LP, a limited partnership Marvel Entertainment, Inc. has with Sony Pictures Consumer Products Inc.
