Sonja battles for her very life against all manner of strange and powerful creatures, all under control of the deadly, beautiful Ice Queen.

I remember flipping the last page of Red Sonja: Queen of the Frozen Wastes #2 and saying to myself, man, that was fu@#$% awesome. Why is this series fu@#$% awesome? Good story telling, it's as simple as that. Within issue #2 Sonja is put in a bad situation, where as with many Comics (or any story in general) when the Hero is put in a bad spot, you can alway's for see them somehow making it out unscaved - Such is not the case here. Frank Cho & Doug Murray (Writers) along with Gregory Homs (Artist) really paint a picture that Sonja is in a very bad situation, and that her escaping this predicament is almost impossable. Imagine this, remember the old Batman TV show? You know, the one with Adam West? Imagine him and Robin are tied up, and their's one of those silly Round Bombs next to them, with a timer about to go off. Suddenly, the show ends and the credits roll. Now imagine that your actually excited to tune in next week, not knowing if they will actually escape. Well, that's me right now, with this series, only I have a good reason to be worried. That's how great of a picture is painted here by Cho and Murray.

The Art here is absolutely wonderful and the 3 Covers by Frank Cho, Stjepan Sejic & Gregory Homs are fantastic. Savage Red Sonja: Queen of the Frozen Wastes is something you simply need to read. I love it.
