The retail store chain Anime Jungle announced that animator Sadao Miyamoto  will be hosting a discussion panel on September 17 at the chain's Los Angeles location. The panel includes a discussion of Miyamoto's previous works, his advice for the animation field, and a question-and-answer session.

Miyamoto started his career at Mushi Productions and worked on the pioneering anime series Astro Boy (Mighty Atom) as an animator. He then worked on Gatchaman as an animation director at Tatsunoko Production and moved onto various other animated projects. After moving to the United States, he worked with Bare-Animation as a Key Animator of Tom and Jerry. In 1993, he joined Disney Consumer Products and became an artist for The Lion King, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tarzan, Lilo & Stitch, and many more franchises. Today, Miyamoto is working on original character designs and serves as a motivational speaker and guest lecturer.

The lecture is open and free of charge; however, reservations are required.
