People have know for long that The San Diego Comic-con is the place to be if one cares about comic books.  More and more this message is being spread beyond the natural territory of North American comic books. So far, arriving to San Diego for the Four-day convention, begun in 1970 by a team of local San Diegans, are Germans, Argentines, Canadians and more.

They come the world over to discover others and be discovered. Last years, the San Diego Comic-con had record attendance numbers at 123,000. This year, organizers have already announced that the event is sold out.

San Diego is a place where comic book enthusiasts can meet their favourite creators and sync up on existing and new projects. It has also grown into a larger multimedia event, attended by film, the action figure and the video game industry.

As for San Diego, it loves the Comic-con. Buses in the city are adorned with images of super heroes, bars post large banners inviting convention attendees to their watering holes.

The Comic Book Bin will cover the San Diego Comic-con for the first time. There are three of us in town looking at all that can be seen. If you could not make it this year, we’re hoping to give you a taste of what’s happening, even though, this is one convention that is best savoured on the spot.
