This is the last part of Hudlin’s first arc on Spider-man and all in all, he’s done a real good job. The Absorbing Man situation was resolved in both a fun way and a way that exemplifies Spidey’s brains. Ethan’s story is definitely a strange one. Hudlin finds a unique angel to take it and it also helps to show how important someone is to Spidey. You are left intrigued, but this could be a good thing.
Its funny that, this being Tan’s last issue on Spider-man, is probably his best issue to date. His fight scenes have a nice fluidity to them. And his line work is crisp. The covers OK, but the Ethan pose is kinda confusing due to his all black costume.
