Reasons you might like it:
· If you’re hung up on a hate for Paris Hilton, her character is brutally murdered in old school slasher film style
· This is an old school, retro 70’s-80’s slasher horror film – kids in the woods getting hacked by psychos that psychologically damaged as kids by crazy parents
· Chad Michael Murray is a rising star, and he takes off his shirt
· Occasionally funny, but not in that self-referential, ironic Scream way
Reasons you might not like it:
· Poorly developed characters that are barely ciphers; even the heroine barely registers a notice
· Lacks internal logic
· Paint-by-numbers plot, surprising for a surprisingly high-budgeted film
What did I think of it?
I found it to be a mildly entertaining horror flick that I would have rented even if I hadn’t bought a ticket to see it at the theatre. I don’t regret the time spent.
