Flash battles Vandal Savage to keep a giant asteroid from hitting the Earth. During the battle, he is haunted by visions of alternate realities and futures, all intended as foreshadowing of some dire fate awaiting him during the INFINITE CRISIS. The story is serviceable but not anything great-- which is sad since this is the end of this run of the FLASH title. It deserved a grand story as a way of saying goodbye to the fans. Even the art looks rather rushed as though the team was trying to beat a deadline. I hate to say it but this issue really looks like just another filler until the end of the CRISIS.
