Daredevil #80
The Eisner-Award winning run of Bendis and Maleev comes to a blistering conclusion in their final arc! First they outed Daredevil in the press, then they married him, and made him the Kingpin of Hell's Kitchen. What could they possibly do to top that? Four words: WILSON FISK IS BACK!!.

As this was his swansong, you’d expect Bendis to produce some of, if not, his best work. Guess what, you don’t get disappointed at all! You know that Bendis doesn’t do the obvious, but the twists and turns this story takes, well, all I can say is, nearly every minute is a WOW, shock moment. And if that’s in the issue itself, just imagine how each of them ended, perfect cliffhangers, kid! Just everything made sense, the way the story unfolded, the guest appearances…….and the ending. I have to give Bendis mad props for jumping off the way he did!

You know Alex is geared up for something big, just by looking at the covers. Each month is incredibly detailed and there’s an intense aura about them too. Don’t get me wrong, the first two issues were good, but they didn’t seem like they were Maleev’s top work. #76, the inks seemed kinda heavy in places and #77 had a few stiff moments, but after that, you could see the gear change and it was straight up foot on the pedal from there. The action, the emotion, it all popped off at you. And Stewart did a great job creating the gritty, grimy, street feel!

This arc was fantastic, the whole run was amazing, thanks for the stories :)
