Valcan Scaramax, or as most people know him, Claw, is cursed with a Right hand that resembles a talon like Claw. While Valcan look's at it as an abomination, Empress Satarina Kal Quillion see's it as a Blessing, a witch he's meet's after a battle for which he was hired to fight. She tell's him if he wishes to be rid of it, he must travel to Western wall, and that a treasure awaits him their.

Claw: The Unconquered #1, or as I like to call it, Extreme Manliness, is a fantasy Comic from Wildstorm, The character of Claw is ripped from the pages of Dynimite's Red Sonja series, another fantasy Comic I read. The success of this series and wether you like it will be based on the strength of Claw as a character. Their are time's when I thought he was a really cool guy, but then their are times when I think he's very generic, a typical Conan like Character. Obviously being the first few issue's. that's not enough time to judge, so we will just have to see how he progresses as the series moves on.

The art seems to really fit, a good mix between the realistic and the cartoonish. Scene's of gore (and their are quite a few) are expertly detailed and really give you a sense of the barbaric nature of this world. Conan...I mean Claw...Well, I guess I just made my point.

I'd have to say that along with ROKKIN and Civil War, Claw The Unconquered is one of the series that i'm most excited about, give it a shot, i'll be sticking around.
