This story manages to be both thoughtful and action-packed with Wonder Woman trying to convince the Green Lantern and his ally not to wipe out the Khund, even as the Khund show themselves to be eminently deserving of being wiped out. Thankfully, Wonder Woman is not depicted as being all-knowing and all-powerful but is at least capable of getting herself-- and her allies-- out of the tightest situations. The fact that she holds her own against a Green Lantern-- in a believable fashion, helps a lot.
The art may be intended as a fill-in before a new regular team comes on but it has a nice, science-fictiony sheen to it. The emotions of the characters and the drama in the conflicts are well-depicted. Just wondering, in one sequence-- was it intended that Diana Prince's office should have co-ed showers? Because that is what it looked like when Nemesis and his crew come back from a mission.
Perhaps the biggest flaw in the story is it doesn't seem like a Wonder Woman story. The whole gimmick of an alien race asking Wonder Woman to help them, seems a lot like a Superman or Green Lantern story that was re-written at the last minute. Even the ending makes you wonder if it was cleared first with the Green Lantern editors. Oh well, it still gets a decent three stars out of five.
