Wonder Woman discovers that her example has inspired various abused women to rise up as well-- violently. The story seems a bit thrown-together and was probably a rush fill-in job, completed after it became obvious that the last Wonder Woman writer wasn't going to finish his five-part story arc in time. Despite its lofty ambitions about addressing violence against women, this issue is more disturbing than inspirational. Didn't we already have too many recent issues where people talked about how wonderful Diana was? Didn't we also just get over Wonder Woman's apparent murder of Max Lord? Now we have a storyline combining both subplots. The scene of Wonder Woman confronting a retired supervillain who is beating his wife also comes off with Wonder Woman looking like a bully. Especially since the bad guy in the story is incapable of hurting her. Perhaps this is all part of the build-up for a larger story but it doesn't stand up too well on its own. But the art is surprisingly good, making both Wonder Woman and Diana Prince look very beautiful, powerful and intimidating-- but each in their own individual way.
