As in the Batgirl annual this issue offers more story and more players. Namely the Justice League. Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Batman mysteriously show up where the Titans are and all the heroes seem trapped by a mysterious force and villain. A lot of mistrust and suspicion ensues as they try to resolve their predicament and a revelation about Donna Troy aka Wonder Girl is revealed.

What might have been another hero versus hero standoff is given multiple layers of story and characterisation as the reader is given more insight into the mentor protege relationship between the League and Titans. Flash and Kid Flash shine with their characteristic quips and witty dialogue, and of course Barman is Barman all grim and broody.

One line I particularly liked as the Titans summed up the difference between themselves and the Justice League was their friendship. I found it poignant and true and explained a lot about both teams.

This annual ends not exactly on a lefthander but without all the storylines being resolved making me wonder if it will be picked up in future issues of Titans and Justice League. Overall a well written and well drawn story. Overall rating 8/10
