The art in this series has a bit of a nineties feel to it. Not a bad thing, just different. The Titans look a little like the 90s X-men comics. Which were beautiful, so although I don’t like comparative reviews I will use that as my frame of reference describing  the look of this comic. However Flash is pretty distinct. The artists really make it look like he’s moving lightning quick.

The Titans are battling H.I.V.E. as this issue opens, likely an aftermath of the Lazarus contract. And actually pretty much this whole comic is one big fight. But I’m not complaining. Last week I listened to a podcast where the host lamented how since rebirth, it seemed DC creators could not publish a team comic. I would hold up Titans 13 to refute his complaint. Abnett has done a superb job writing this title. The titans fight and act like a team, yet retain their individual personalities.
