The Flash is fighting Bloodworks who is attacking the city. Can the Flash trick the new villain into helping cure his condition before he destroys Central City?
I do not like the visual representation of Bloodworks as a red guy covered in skintight blood costume with muscles and all. The guy is a puny little guy and was wearing a full suit one. Where did the suit go when he was Bloodworks? What material was used to generate all of this tactile blood that he could control like tentacles? It’s flaws like these which are ignored in favour of creating cool effect cool villains that stretch the suspension of disbelief and hurt the new character who was supposed to be impressive. Oh, and by transforming into Bloodworks, he also figured out a cool moniker for himself as he was going nuts.
There are so many other things that could be done with a villain who controls and generates blood. He could play with oxygen, poisons and so on. Instead, we get another random villain with tentacles.
Neil Googe’s section which covers the fight between Flash and Bloodworks looked good and that was the point of his contribution, regardless of logic. Gus Vasquez’s took care of the police procedural after the fight which was cleaning up Bloodworks’ mess. It wasn’t as spectacular but was the appropriate part to hand to the second artist. Googe was great at drawing blood-based constructs.
