Sheild-Slinging with Aplomb

Most people know the story of artistic and idealistic young Steve Rodgers, who upon volunteering for an experiment is transformed into the intelligent, ultra-athlete and one of a kind super soldier by the American government before World War II. His exploits, upright morals, valour and legendary unbreakable sheild are etched on the public psyche.

Two of my favourite Captain America stories featured Batroc the fleet footed mercenary in a confrontation on a tug boat and Union Jack (picture below) which featured a whodunnit in an old mansion, a lord and an age old vampire called Baron Blood. Loved them! The the Union Jack storyline is highly recommended.

Now it seems that we have a release date for the film! The First Avenger: Captain America is currently slated for release on July 22nd 2011. There is no cast as yet, but who would you cast as Steve Rodgers, or his sometime sidekick Bucky? Any suggestions?
