Spider-man is hunted and shot in the shoulder by the police and Harry Osborne proposes to Lili Hollister. The mayoral campaign in New York City is near its end, and NYPD detectives have found a way of detecting even disabled spider-tracers. What else can go grong?

Before even commenting on this issue, I have to comment on the return of John Romita Jr. to the pages of Spider-man. He was made to draw Spider-man. It’s just sweet, graceful, fluid, kinetic and fun to watch. I like the grittiness he gave to Spider-man, shot in the arm. When reading a story drawn by Romita and partner Klaus Janson, there’s not need to read the bubbles to get the action. It all flows naturally without any effort. It’s just beautiful.

This is an interesting story that extends a few plots introduced before, while introducing new conflicts. The story was not complex, but then it seems like a stepping-stone for much more to come. It’s intriguing enough for me to come by next week.
