The Skrull attack New York City in a full scale story and easily defeat the Initiative and of course, they someone totally destroys the Vision again. In the jungle, Spider-woman reveals more of her plan for Earth’s heroes and several super heroes seem to die.

I actually am rooting for the Skrulls. I really wish they would win this attempt to conquer the Earth once and for all. There are hints that the Skrulls will meet a terrible defeat, especially when you see how their queen, masquerading as Spider-woman easily disposed of the heroine called Echo. You know that that when the villain gives the hero a good beating, that payback will come later. I have a feeling that Echo’s blade will soon kill another female Skrull.

This issue is not great and there are few developments that help carry the story within this series. It seems that for this one crossover, events occurring outside will be more important than the main narrative from the mini-series.

I actually like the work by Yu this issue. Some of the annoying aspects of his past work are not as present. The lines in his work make more sense and the layout of his pages, and hence, the progresses of the actions are better and less disruptive. He’s learning storytelling and how to refine his raw artwork as we read. Once he masters these, he’ll be a great artist.
