Harley has taken a job as a paid assassin, but her reasons are pure-hearted. She hopes to save her Coney Island home from being seized, developed and gentrified. She tried the legitimate route, but that didn’t work out so well. So, since she has a certain knack for murderizing, she’s agreed to take out Lord Death Man. Easy-peasy, right?

Wrong. The guy just won’t stay dead. Even with his head detached from his neck, he manages to come back from beyond the grave. He’s like Monty Python’s Black Knight; everything is just a flesh wound. With mere minutes to go, Harley pulls out all the stops in a cavalcade of death so thorough, only a fall into the Sun would be more effective.

It’s the kind of lunacy where you just have to suspend your sense of disbelief. It’s comic books, fer cryinoutloud, they don’t have to make sense. And if you think that’s absurd, just wait until you see what’s coming up next issue.

Harley’s recent crossover with the Looney Tunes universe may have rubbed off on her. Her world has gone crazy, and nothing makes sense. But such is the inside of insanity. So if you have a difficult time buying what Harley is selling, just regard it as the world as seen through Harley’s eyes.
