Apollo is now in hell trying to escape but his escape appears to be useless, now that he is under Neron’s realm. Mindnighter seeks Extrano so that he may find his lover and return him to life. But is it too late for Apollo?

In this story, Midnighter’s motivation is simple. He wants Apollo back. Apollo, a slave of Neron wants one thing; to be a hero and save people. Both of their dreams are crushed. I’m glad to see Extraño back this issue. As mentioned in my last review, he looks very different. I’m not sure if all of his past in Post Crisis is still canon. I don’t know if this is his first appearance in the Rebirth and even the New 52.

I like how Extraño was ready to assist Mignighter and how he seems to have some history with the hero. The daughter with wings is sure to come back later in this series so it means that we are not done with Extraño.

I like Fernando Blanco’s work but his fight scene early in the comic was convoluted and unclear. In other pages, the scene with Apollo’s light turning off as he’s held by Midnighter is well done.
