Iron Man gets an armour that looks like the Destroyer’s while Pepper Potts try to stay alive and not turn into stone while fighting the Grey Gargoyle. How long can she stand with salt in her eyes while the villain waits for her to open her eyes?

This story had not much happening and was a sort of prequel to the last issue of Fear Itself. We didn’t even get to see the weapons the other Avengers would get. In all, this entire storyline has been about Tony Stark preparing for the big finale in Fear Itself and has no real consequences in this series. That’s disappointing and a waste of readers’ time. It’s all well crafted, but without a purpose, who cares?

Beautiful artwork with as much action as Larroca could cram in given this issue was about a bunch of talking heads. Have not picked up the latest issue yet, but if nothing improves, I’ll stop collecting Iron Man, even if it sports very beautiful art.

Rating: 6/10
