One thing I like about this title is the Green Lanterns we know and are familiar with demonstrate that which makes them prime GLs. Hal’s determination, John’s strategic thinking, and Kyle’s heart. Other Green Lanterns may be included, those we’re somewhat familiar with, but given the size of the Corps, no doubt others can come and go, filling whatever immediate role may be required.

The current story arc has teamed the Corps with the New Gods, and XXX, the father of High Father (High Grandfather?) attempting to resurrect himself. John leads the battle, as Hal defends High Father from Omega Beams.

It’s a good solid story arc, which narratively speaking, fits the cosmic scope the Green Lanterns. One might argue the Guardians were on the same strata as the New Gods, and the JLA somewhat on par to the younger Fourth World characters – Orion, Barda, et al.

I’ve never been a passionate Green Lantern fan, especially since the advent of Kyle Rayner. In some ways it’s become the lore has become a bit unwieldy, but it’s become more manageable I think since Rebirth. I’m liking it more and more.
