Avatar had some interesting things to report at their Comic Con panel today:

Night of the Living Dead: Aftermath will launch October 31, and is written by David Hine. The story takes place, you guessed it, after George Romero's first zombie film, and it explores the implications of the existence of zombies in punk era in LA. Zombies haven't destroyed society, but have rather become an assimilated hardship that Californians must bear. Sounds like a cool twist to me!

Aftermath will also be joined by an Avatar Halloween promotion at your local comic shop. Expect everything from stickers to temporary tattoos.

Alan Moore's ten-issue Fashion Beast, originally written as a film script in 1985 for Malcolm McLaren, about fashion in a dystopian future, will be remastered and republished through Avatar.

Caligula: Heart of Rome, the second series of David Lapham and German Nobile's Caligula comics, is coming in December.

Avatar's in-house news organization, Bleeding Cool, is getting a bi-monthly print magazine launching in October. The magazine is described by William Christensen as "Wizard before it was shit."
