Gene Hackman. John Shea. Scott James Wells. Sherman Howard. Michael Rosenbaum. Kevin Spacey. And now (reportedly), Bryan Cranston is to play the charming, lethal, Lex Luthor. News is he's signed a six-film deal. Cranston is probably best known prior to Breaking Bad for playing Hank, in the award winning series, Malcolm In The Middle. His star has risen steadily in recent years with more and more appearances in movies (Drive, Batman: Year one, John carter, Total Recall). I like Cranston as an actor and think he works very well off good material. He's garnered praise for his villianous roles recently and I think he could deliver a very good Lex luthor. A Luthor of many layers. I'm hard pressed to think of an alternative at the moment. But I'm very glad it wasn't Vin Diesal or The Rock! I like them both(yes, I'm scared they'll find me and mangle my body!) in what they do, but they aren't Lex Luthor.
